VISITATION TO IDP'S CAMP IN MAKURDI, BENUE STATE

The Neo black movement of Africa (NBM), is a pan Africanist organization passionately committed to ameliorating the plight of all races, especially Africa in line with our motto social justice and equality. 

To this end, NBM is vehemently concerned on the plight of victim's of the recent benue flood,  which destroyed millions of naira worth of property in Makurdi and the environs, rendering thousands homeless and without means of livelihood.

Engineer Felix Kupa(President NBM of Africa worldwide) stated that NBM of Africa see's the Makurdi flood as a monumental disaster that calls for support from public spirited  individuals, Churches, public and private establishments to help the victims of the flood pick back their lives and move ahead with life.

He further stated that NBM is fully poised towards providing succour within the means of our resources to the victims of the unfortunate Makurdi flood, and will not shy away from being in the fore-front of championing and campaigning for individuals and organizations to provide support and assistance both in cash and kind to the affected people and areas.

NBM, is also committed to providing the victims at the IDP's camp with food items such as rice, noodles,other food seasonings, as well as diapers, detergents and soaps, buckets, clothing, footwears, drinking water among others.

In conclusion, we want to passionately appeal to the government to take a very urgent and proactive step by putting in place preventive measure that will help to prevent a repeat of this kind of monumental disaster in the future, through concrete measure and proper enlightenment of the people on safety measures before, during and after disasters.

We want to conclude by once again calling on individuals, churches, public and private organizations, NGOs and government to come to the aid of the victims.
