NOTICE:
To Whom It May Concern:
Following the court judgement on the 16th day of November 2015 at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi-Lagos Nigeria as delivered by the most respected Justice Yinusa Mohammed where it stated that NBM of Africa(Worldwide) is by law, a bonafide association that has the freedom to meet, gather and go about our lawful aims and objectives without harassment from anyone or security agents. It also went further to say that as law abiding citizens of this country any interested person(s) is/are at liberty to be admitted into the movement without facing any form of persecution from any quarters. Hence reiterating the fact that we are not a "Secret Cult" or an organisation with any ill or criminal motives. This court judgement can be described as a victorious judgement.
The leadership of NBM of Africa (Worldwide) will use this medium to sensitise the general public that we are law abiding citizens as a group that does not have anything to do with campus cults or confraternities which parade themselves as an affiliation of NBM of Africa. It is important that we set the records clear, stating who we are and what we are positioned for. We are not a cult group, neither are we are campus cult. Any person or group of persons parading themselves as members of NBM of Africa within and outside the campuses to engage in criminal activities should be seen as an impostor(s) and treated like common criminal(s) as we maintain that we do not have business in any tertiary institution within and outside Nigeria.
We want to state categorically that this court judgement does not in anyway permit anybody being a member of NBM of Africa (worldwide) the right or privilege to engage in any criminal activity that contradicts the aims and objectives of NBM of Africa (Worldwide) or deemed to be inimical within the ambit of the laws as prescribed by the extant laws of any country. Any person or group of persons who do so, using the name of the movement should be arrested, investigated and if found wanting prosecuted and treated like a common criminal. NBM of Africa does not engage in criminal activities and do not expect any bonafide member to engage in criminal activities which range from political thuggery, kidnappings, fraud, rape, drug trafficking, gunrunning, human trafficking, murder etc. Also any criminal activity whatsoever as declared by the laws of the land where members reside. It is expected that all members of NBM of Africa (Worldwide) should always be law abiding citizens. Again we will stress to the general public that we are willing and ready to join the law enforcement agencies in investigating and prosecuting any member or impostor who commits a crime in the name of NBM of Africa (Worldwide).
We are aware of some irresponsible people who are currently under investigation for criminal activities and we will not at this point comment as we will want the law to do the right thing in ensuring justice is delivered.
Justice is one of our core values and so we will do everything to support the delivery of justice worldwide regardless of whoever is concerned.
We want to stress that the general public should respect NBM of Africa as a reputable group, treat it as a legal entity of its own and avoid generalisation especially when any member is found wanting, where there are conflicting information, especially as it relates to any crime committed by a member or in most cases impostors. The leadership of NBM of Africa stresses that we should be duly consulted in any such event(s) and we can assure the general public that we will ensure to do everything within the law without fear or favour to see that such person(s) is/are legally prosecuted.
In the light of the above, we will again expect the general public and all concerned authorities to appreciate the fact that NBM of Africa (Worldwide) should be respected as a group and our fundamental rights,as well as that of our members are not trampled upon as we will not hesitate to seek legal powers in addressing any unlawful abuse of our name, personality and defamation of character. We will continue our good work as we continue to strive towards the achievement of our ideas, ideals and vision.
NBM of Africa (Worldwide) will remain an organisation that represents all colours, race, gender, religion and creed. For any more information we can be contacted directly and we are happy to engage respectfully. As we continue in the celebration of our court victory, we should all be aware that there is so much work to be done in separating the grain from the chaff.
Thanks and God bless.
